Eid Al Fitr 2023 in Periuk Jaya Resident

Tangerang - The Eid al-Fitr prayer held at Periuk Jaya Resident in 22 April 2023 is different from last year due to community service activities cleaning the environment the day before Eid.

The Eid celebration marks the end of Ramadan, a month of daily fasting in Islam where Muslims seek to do more good deeds while practicing self-discipline, self-control, sacrifice, and empathy for those who are less fortunate.

One of the Eid prayer congregation, Haryani in the Periuk Jaya resident complex, said that the activity is cleaning the environment.

"The Muslim community's do to protect the home environment is one of the obligations in Islam to maintain cleanliness, because cleanliness is part of faith and also getting to know neighbors around the house better," said Haryani.

According to Haryani, this activity is to protect the environment and also as an opportunity to socialize and connect with relatives and friends.
